During your first 12 weeks, there are a ton of incentives including free books and cash! (You'll get all the details when you sign up!) so make the most of it with these easy steps:

1. Read what's in your sign-up kit!

   That's right, read all of the books show them to the kids in your life and see how they respond. Let experience create your stories and those stories will be what you'll share at home shows and with your customers.

   Read your manual. Get out a spiral and make a list of questions as you go. Most of them will be answered as you read but send me your list and I'll be happy to help you with your questions!

2. Book 6 shows in your first 4 weeks

   Why? Because shome shows will go well and some may not go according to plan. So, you need 6 shows to get some experience and get a flavor for what you can expect in direct sales with Usborne Books and More. And since you can expect 1 or 2 bookings for additional parties from each show, this is a great way to kick off your business and maximize your benefits. (and definitely pay off your kit!!)

   Consider making your first home show your OWN!! Invite everyone you know - friends, neighbors, relatives, parents of your children's friends and have them over on a Saturday morning for coffee and books. When you order the books from your own show, you get to keep the double free hostess books for yourself - use them to add a few books to your kit or your library for free!

   We'll train you on what you need to bring and say. Actually, what you say is a small portion of a home show. We'll just give you some hints on how to start and how to introduce the catalog. I suggest to people that they book a home show by saying, "I'll bring a box of books and a bag of chocolate - what could be more fun?" And it's true :)

3. Find a few friends to join with you. Do you know some other ladies (or gentlemen!) who could use at least $400 a month added to their budget? You can offer a 1/2 price base kit to 2 recruits during your first twelve weeks!
